Singer Melanie C, also known as Sporty Spice from the iconic 90s Spice Girls, hinted in a recent interview that the band might be planning a return to the stage to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their hit "Wannabe."
When asked about the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion in the near future, Melanie C responded optimistically: "There has to be something worthy of the 30 years since 'Wannabe.' Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl." She confirmed that there have been discussions about it and suggested that the other members are also on board for the return.
The last time the Spice Girls performed together was at the opening of the London 2012 Olympics, where they sang various anthems of London’s musical culture. They also recently reunited at Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday, where they gave an impromptu performance for the guests.
Melanie C revealed in the interview that it is time to start planning and executing this return. She expressed her enthusiasm by saying, "We have to start making plans right now and put them into practice. It's the time!" The singer also mentioned that both she and Mel B would be willing to fully engage in this project.
Everything points to the Spice Girls potentially organizing their return to the stage soon, which would be an anticipated event for the group's fans. Melanie C took the opportunity during the interview to talk about her new solo music and her upcoming project as a fitness DJ on the Apple platform.
